LillyMae was restored back to original showroom condition with exceptions:
1. The pinstripe down the side with the CAVALIER emblems on the rear quarter panel was added to signify that LillyMae is one of a kind original.
2. All exterior emblems are made of polished chrome. The original plastic emblems have been saved.
3. The CHEVROLET on the trunk has been centered as opposed to the original which would have placed this on the right driver's side and the CAVALIER emblem on the passenger's left side.
4. An electric trunk opener has been installed with the original solenoid and a large yellow pushbutton located in the glove box just like the original. It can also be activated from the remote.
5. Keyless entry was installed with after market solenoids, wiring and electronic components.
6. A level II security system was installed.
7. A Pioneer CD/MP-3 player was installed in place of the original radio/cassette player which has been stored. Prior to installation, the original player became defective and was shipped by Chevy for repair. They lost it in transit and replaced it with a brand new unit that has hardly ever been used.
8. The original armrest (interior) was worn out and was replaced with a new design and covered with hand-stitched leather.
9. The seats were covered in the original black velour with original hand stitching, but the middle of the original seat had a black, white and gray racy sports style cover. This was eliminated in the makeover and 100% black velour was installed.
